Upfront PricING
No surprises and no cost overruns with fixed bids.
If you know what you want and are well-prepared (see process page), I can provide a fixed bid where you won't encounter expensive surprises or cost overruns. This fixed bid will account for minor changes within the initial project scope.
As the person directly responsible for the work, I can offer a fast turnaround time if you can keep pace. With rare exceptions like image cleanup or vectorization, I don't outsource any work.

ASSUMPTIONS
Most projects will cost slightly more than these starting points. The total price factors in:
PAGE TYPES
Most websites have a few unique page types that are reused with different content. Typically, the home page is a standalone series of sections that expand on your company using the same topics as your navigation. Services, About, and Contact pages are other standard types. For larger sites, individual services or team member pages follow their own templates.
PAGE TOTAL
Any page with a unique URL has setup overhead, including writing its name in the navigation, URL, and a 50-160 character meta description for SEO. Blog or other collection types additionally have visible summaries that should be of consistent length.
COMPLEXITY
Page content varies in complexity. A blog post is normally a single column of several paragraphs. Lists involve some formatting. Tables require extensive design and coding to work across different screen widths. Each form involves question wording, query types, and testing. A home page involves several types of text and media, formats, and frequently animations.
CONTENT CREATION
I include light editing for SEO and optimize all images for performance. While clients are responsible for providing their content and graphics, they often need help sourcing or adapting copy from other media to work well on the web. My level of involvement will be reflected in the cost.
ECONOMIES OF SCALE
Prices represent a package based on economies of scale. If elements are added to or removed from the scope of work, the new total price will include adjustments to pricing of other elements.
IncluSIONS
OPTIONS
Some design decisions, especially regarding color and forms, are relative, interconnected, and need to be made in the context of options. As a rule, I offer three design variants that reflect the client's branding guidelines and other communicated stylistic directions about colors and typography.
REVISIONS
Every project includes a fixed number of revisions. The threshold reflects simplicity, dependencies to other elements, custom coding, and whether reviewing changes requires viewing a duplicate element, page, or entire prototype site.
INTEGRATIONS
Connecting your domain to your site, Google Analytics setup, and registration with Google Search Console are always included. Pricing will reflect whether you need help researching providers or come with specific providers in mind, the number of potential integrations needed, and whether the integrations involve coding.
TESTING
Ensuring consistent appearance across desktops, tablets, and phones, and commonly used browsers is included. This is more involved with custom coding. Forms and e-commerce also involve testing sample submissions and purchases.
MONITORING
I monitor your site for three months for abnormal site traffic, issues with navigation, or other unforeseen problems.
EXcluSIONS
Recurring annual fees are paid directly to the service provider(s) for:
NAME HOSTING
I recommend most of my clients contract with a dedicated name-hosting provider like GoDaddy and keep that aspect independent from the website hosting.
WEBSITE HOSTING
When the site is ready to launch, my clients will contract directly with the hosting provider. Fees will vary depending on the provider, service tier, and monthly or yearly payment option chosen.
THIRD PARTY SERVICES
My clients will contract directly with any third party service providers. Fees will vary depending on the provider, service tier, and monthly or yearly payment option chosen.
Fair PRICING STRUCTURE
Websites are labor intensive on the front end and require prioritizing my time for each client. Fees are front loaded but I try to keep things fair with:
SMALL PAYMENTS
Fees are broken up over the course of the project.
PAYMENTS TIED TO DELIVERABLES
Payments are coordinated with milestones along the project path.
NO RISK TERMINATION
If you are not satisfied with the project progress, you can terminate at each milestone with no penalty or fees.
See the process page or one of the Carrd, Squarespace, or Webflow pages for more details.
